Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Keith Coventry could be acquired at Phillips in London in July 2020 for an unexpectedly low price. In the New Now auction, the work Pure Junk VIII changed hands for GBP 22,500.00 (€ 25,097.04) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Keith Coventry - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Nice - Vue de l'Escalier le Sage, which sold at auction in January 2020 for GBP 65,000.00 (€ 77,316.78).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Keith Coventry konnte im Juli 2020 bei Phillips in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion New Now wechselte die Arbeit Pure Junk VIII für GBP 22.500,00 (€ 25.097,04) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 25.000,00 – 35.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Keith Coventry mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Nice - Vue de l'Escalier le Sage beobachtet, die im Januar 2020 für GBP 65.000,00 (€ 77.316,78) versteigert wurde.
