Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Keith Coventry achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in October 2021. In the Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work Small Junk sold for GBP 16,250.00 (€ 19,251.86) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Keith Coventry have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Nice - Vue de l'Escalier le Sage in January 2020 with an auction result of GBP 65,000.00 (€ 77,316.78).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Keith Coventry erzielte im Oktober 2021 bei Christies einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Small Junk für GBP 16.250,00 (€ 19.251,86) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 6.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Keith Coventry auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Nice - Vue de l'Escalier le Sage im Januar 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 65.000,00 (€ 77.316,78).
