Auction result misses estimated price range
In February 2005 a collector was able to acquire the work San Galgano, 1998; and Angel, 1998 by Keith Carter for USD 600.00 (€ 452.01). This price was achieved in the auction Photographs at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Keith Carter achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Fireflies in October 2017 with an auction result of USD 7,500.00 (€ 6,438.87).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Februar 2005 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit San Galgano, 1998; and Angel, 1998 von Keith Carter für USD 600,00 (€ 452,01) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Photographs bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Keith Carter erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Fireflies im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 7.500,00 (€ 6.438,87).
