Auction result misses estimated price range
In February 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work Angel, 1998 by Keith Carter for USD 1,500.00 (€ 987.69). This price was achieved in the auction Photographs at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,500.00 – 3,500.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Keith Carter have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Fireflies in October 2017 with an auction result of USD 7,500.00 (€ 6,438.87).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Februar 2008 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Angel, 1998 von Keith Carter für USD 1.500,00 (€ 987,69) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Photographs bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.500,00 – 3.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Keith Carter auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Fireflies im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 7.500,00 (€ 6.438,87).
