Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2004 Christies in New York held the auction The House Sale, which included the work Eiffel Tower, 1999; and Holding Venus, 1999 by Keith Carter. It changed hands for a price of USD 2,868.00 (€ 2,383.64) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Keith Carter - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Fireflies, which sold at auction in October 2017 for USD 7,500.00 (€ 6,438.87).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2004 führte Christies in New York die Auktion The House Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Eiffel Tower, 1999; and Holding Venus, 1999 von Keith Carter zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 2.868,00 (€ 2.383,64) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Keith Carter mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Fireflies beobachtet, die im Oktober 2017 für USD 7.500,00 (€ 6.438,87) versteigert wurde.
