The work Osmose by Kees Verkade was sold in the Modern Art auction at Christies in Amsterdam in December 2015. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 9,375.00 34% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Kees Verkade have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Casmira dansant in May 2011 with an auction result of EUR 49,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 34 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Osmose von Kees Verkade wurde im Dezember 2015 in der Auktion Modern Art bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 9.375,00 und damit 34% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Kees Verkade auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Casmira dansant im Mai 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 49.000,00.
