The work The Balance Beam by Kees Verkade was sold in the Modern Art auction at Christies in Amsterdam in December 2013. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 16,250.00 35% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Kees Verkade - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Casmira dansant, which sold at auction in May 2011 for EUR 49,000.00.

Die Arbeit The Balance Beam von Kees Verkade wurde im Dezember 2013 in der Auktion Modern Art bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 16.250,00 und damit 35% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Kees Verkade mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Casmira dansant beobachtet, die im Mai 2011 für EUR 49.000,00 versteigert wurde.
