Sold at the lower estimate price
In March 2013 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Nineteen to Now, which included the work Vliegen by Kees Verkade. The result of EUR 1,500.00 was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kees Verkade achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Casmira dansant in May 2011 with an auction result of EUR 49,000.00.
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im März 2013 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Nineteen to Now durch, in der auch die Arbeit Vliegen von Kees Verkade zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 1.500,00 entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kees Verkade erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Casmira dansant im Mai 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 49.000,00.
