This artwork by Kees Verkade achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in March 2013. In the Nineteen to Now auction, the work Fietsers sold for EUR 15,000.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Kees Verkade - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Casmira dansant, which sold at auction in May 2011 for EUR 49,000.00.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Kees Verkade erzielte im März 2013 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Nineteen to Now wurde die Arbeit Fietsers für EUR 15.000,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 8.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Kees Verkade mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Casmira dansant beobachtet, die im Mai 2011 für EUR 49.000,00 versteigert wurde.
