Sold at the lower estimate price
The work Daydreaming by Kees Verkade was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in November 2011. The result of EUR 20,000.00 was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Kees Verkade - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Casmira dansant, which sold at auction in May 2011 for EUR 49,000.00.

Die Arbeit Daydreaming von Kees Verkade kam im November 2011 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 20.000,00 entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Kees Verkade mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Casmira dansant beobachtet, die im Mai 2011 für EUR 49.000,00 versteigert wurde.
