The work E-Cars (Ornette Coleman), 1967 by Kazuya Sakai was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in September 2018. The price achieved of USD 8,750.00 (€ 7,528.82) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kazuya Sakai achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Sky of Texas in September last year with an auction result of USD 107,100.00 (€ 109,475.62).

Die Arbeit E-Cars (Ornette Coleman), 1967 von Kazuya Sakai kam im September 2018 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 8.750,00 (€ 7.528,82) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kazuya Sakai erzielen.
