Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Mo-shun (Early Spring) by Kazuo Shiraga was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Christies in London in March last year. The price achieved of GBP 201,600.00 (€ 239,019.49) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 180,000.00 – 250,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kazuo Shiraga achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Takao in June 2018 with an auction result of EUR 8,731,400.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Mo-shun (Early Spring) von Kazuo Shiraga wurde im März letzten Jahres in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 201.600,00 (€ 239.019,49) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 180.000,00 – 250.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kazuo Shiraga erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Takao im Juni 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 8.731.400,00.
