Auction result well in line with expectations
In May this year Christies in New York held the auction A Century of Art: The Gerald Fineberg Collection Part I, which included the work Hoshōkai (Lop Nur) by Kazuo Shiraga. The price achieved of USD 5,132,000.00 (€ 4,816,970.15) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000,000.00 – 6,000,000.00. Other works by Kazuo Shiraga have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in June 2018 the work Takao was auctioned for EUR 8,731,400.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai diesen Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion A Century of Art: The Gerald Fineberg Collection Part I durch, in der auch die Arbeit Hoshōkai (Lop Nur) von Kazuo Shiraga zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 5.132.000,00 (€ 4.816.970,15) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 4.000.000,00 – 6.000.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Kazuo Shiraga konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Juni 2018 die Arbeit Takao für EUR 8.731.400,00 versteigert.
