Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Choryo (Jumping Dragon) by Kazuo Shiraga was sold in the 20th/21st Century: London Evening Sale auction at Christies in London in June this year. The price achieved of GBP 1,492,000.00 (€ 1,736,431.14) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,200,000.00 – 1,800,000.00. Admittedly, works by Kazuo Shiraga have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Takao in June 2018 with an auction result of EUR 8,731,400.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Choryo (Jumping Dragon) von Kazuo Shiraga wurde im Juni diesen Jahres in der Auktion 20th/21st Century: London Evening Sale bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.492.000,00 (€ 1.736.431,14) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.200.000,00 – 1.800.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Kazuo Shiraga auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Takao im Juni 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 8.731.400,00.
