In November this year Christies in Hong Kong held the auction 20th/21st Century Art Evening Sale, which included the work Hiryu (Flying Dragon) by Kazuo Shiraga. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 4,788,000.00 (€ 561,848.18), 71% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kazuo Shiraga achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Takao in June 2018 with an auction result of EUR 8,731,400.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 71 % übertroffen
Im November diesen Jahres führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion 20th/21st Century Art Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Hiryu (Flying Dragon) von Kazuo Shiraga zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 4.788.000,00 (€ 561.848,18) und damit 71% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kazuo Shiraga erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Takao im Juni 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 8.731.400,00.
