Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2018 a collector was able to acquire this work without title by Katy Schimert for USD 1,875.00 (€ 1,654.61). This price was achieved in the auction The Collection of Melva Bucksbaum: Post-War and Contemporary Art, Photographs and Prints at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Katy Schimert - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in March 2017 for USD 4,750.00 (€ 4,440.08).

Im Oktober 2018 konnte ein Sammler diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Katy Schimert für USD 1.875,00 (€ 1.654,61) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The Collection of Melva Bucksbaum: Post-War and Contemporary Art, Photographs and Prints bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Katy Schimert mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im März 2017 für USD 4.750,00 (€ 4.440,08) versteigert wurde.
