Auction result well in line with expectations
In June this year Christies in London held the auction Impressionist and Modern Art Day and Works on Paper Sale, which included the work Dorfstraße by Karl Hofer. The price achieved of GBP 37,800.00 (€ 43,992.69) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Karl Hofer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Arbeitslose in December 2020 with an auction result of EUR 825,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni diesen Jahres führte Christies in London die Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art Day and Works on Paper Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Dorfstraße von Karl Hofer zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 37.800,00 (€ 43.992,69) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Karl Hofer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Arbeitslose im Dezember 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 825.000,00.
