Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sunset over a river landscape by Karl Heffner was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in September 2010. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 1,125.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Karl Heffner - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Dutch waterway at dusk, which sold at auction in May 2007 for GBP 2,880.00 (€ 4,238.11).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Sunset over a river landscape von Karl Heffner kam im September 2010 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 1.125,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Karl Heffner mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Dutch waterway at dusk beobachtet, die im Mai 2007 für GBP 2.880,00 (€ 4.238,11) versteigert wurde.
