Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Feeding geese by the marshes by Karl Heffner was auctioned at Christies in London in May 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,250.00 (€ 2,936.01) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Karl Heffner have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2007 the work A Dutch waterway at dusk was auctioned for GBP 2,880.00 (€ 4,238.11).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Feeding geese by the marshes von Karl Heffner kam im Mai 2016 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.250,00 (€ 2.936,01) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Karl Heffner konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Mai 2007 die Arbeit A Dutch waterway at dusk für GBP 2.880,00 (€ 4.238,11) versteigert.
