The work Splashed-ink landscapes by Kano Tanyu was auctioned at Christies in New York in March 2012. It achieved a price of USD 20,000.00 (€ 14,999.25), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 33%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Kano Tanyu - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Rural landscape with oxen grazing, which sold at auction in September 2007 for USD 61,000.00 (€ 42,900.34).

Die Arbeit Splashed-ink landscapes von Kano Tanyu kam im März 2012 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 20.000,00 (€ 14.999,25) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 33%. Für andere Arbeiten von Kano Tanyu mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Rural landscape with oxen grazing beobachtet, die im September 2007 für USD 61.000,00 (€ 42.900,34) versteigert wurde.
