Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2015 Christies in New York held the auction An Inquiring Mind: American Collecting of Japanese and Korean Art, which included the work Chinese landscape by Kano Tanyu. The price achieved of USD 25,000.00 (€ 22,397.42) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Other works by Kano Tanyu have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in September 2007 the work Rural landscape with oxen grazing was auctioned for USD 61,000.00 (€ 42,900.34).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2015 führte Christies in New York die Auktion An Inquiring Mind: American Collecting of Japanese and Korean Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Chinese landscape von Kano Tanyu zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 22.397,42) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Kano Tanyu konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im September 2007 die Arbeit Rural landscape with oxen grazing für USD 61.000,00 (€ 42.900,34) versteigert.
