Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2005 Christies in London held the auction Japanese Art and Design, which included the work Kinkishoga The Four Noble Pastimes by Kano Tanyu. It changed hands for a price of GBP 9,600.00 (€ 13,924.71) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 8,000.00 – 10,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Kano Tanyu - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Rural landscape with oxen grazing, which sold at auction in September 2007 for USD 61,000.00 (€ 42,900.34).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion Japanese Art and Design durch, in der auch die Arbeit Kinkishoga The Four Noble Pastimes von Kano Tanyu zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 9.600,00 (€ 13.924,71) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 10.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Kano Tanyu mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Rural landscape with oxen grazing beobachtet, die im September 2007 für USD 61.000,00 (€ 42.900,34) versteigert wurde.
