Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Chinese Immortals by Kano Tanyu was sold in the Japanese Art Including Property of The Metropolitan Museum of Art auction at Christies in New York in March 2006. Here, the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 16,800.00 (€ 13,839.69). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Kano Tanyu - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Rural landscape with oxen grazing, which sold at auction in September 2007 for USD 61,000.00 (€ 42,900.34).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Chinese Immortals von Kano Tanyu wurde im März 2006 in der Auktion Japanese Art Including Property of The Metropolitan Museum of Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 15.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 16.800,00 (€ 13.839,69) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Kano Tanyu mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Rural landscape with oxen grazing beobachtet, die im September 2007 für USD 61.000,00 (€ 42.900,34) versteigert wurde.
