Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Unknown by Kano Tanyu was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2002. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 4,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 4,182.50 (€ 6,549.58). Admittedly, works by Kano Tanyu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Rural landscape with oxen grazing in September 2007 with an auction result of USD 61,000.00 (€ 42,900.34).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Unknown von Kano Tanyu kam im November 2002 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 4.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 4.182,50 (€ 6.549,58) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Kano Tanyu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Rural landscape with oxen grazing im September 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 61.000,00 (€ 42.900,34).
