Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2008 Sothebys in London held the auction Indian Art, which included the work Three Works From The Dead Painting Series by Justin Ponmany. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 6,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,950.27). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Justin Ponmany achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Staple agony - II (Plastic Memory) in June 2008 with an auction result of GBP 109,250.00 (€ 138,095.66).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2008 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Indian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Three Works From The Dead Painting Series von Justin Ponmany zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 6.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 6.250,00 (€ 7.950,27) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Justin Ponmany erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Staple agony - II (Plastic Memory) im Juni 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 109.250,00 (€ 138.095,66).
