The work Last Straw by Justin Ponmany was sold in the South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art auction at Christies in New York in March 2008. It achieved a price of USD 46,600.00 (€ 29,484.34), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 33%. Admittedly, works by Justin Ponmany have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Staple agony - II (Plastic Memory) in June 2008 with an auction result of GBP 109,250.00 (€ 138,095.66).

Die Arbeit Last Straw von Justin Ponmany wurde im März 2008 in der Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 46.600,00 (€ 29.484,34) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 33%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Justin Ponmany auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Staple agony - II (Plastic Memory) im Juni 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 109.250,00 (€ 138.095,66).
