The work "Fort Knox" by Juri Markkula was sold in the Spring Modern Sale auction at Bukowski in Stockholm in May 2010. The »bidding war« ended at SEK 20,000.00 (€ 2,074.54), 33% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Juri Markkula have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work "IKB Ground Leaves" in April 2021 with an auction result of SEK 90,000.00 (€ 8,850.37).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 33 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit "Fort Knox" von Juri Markkula wurde im Mai 2010 in der Auktion Spring Modern Sale bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von SEK 20.000,00 (€ 2.074,54) und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Juri Markkula auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit "IKB Ground Leaves" im April 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 90.000,00 (€ 8.850,37).
