Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sapphic Strophes 4, from Sapphic Strophes by Julie Mehretu was auctioned at Phillips in 6 - in September this year. The price achieved of USD 2,413.00 (€ 2,279.86) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Julie Mehretu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Black Ground (Deep Light) in April 2019 with an auction result of HKD 44,209,000.00 (€ 5,032,271.67).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Sapphic Strophes 4, from Sapphic Strophes von Julie Mehretu kam im September diesen Jahres bei Phillips in 6 - zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 2.413,00 (€ 2.279,86) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Julie Mehretu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Black Ground (Deep Light) im April 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 44.209.000,00 (€ 5.032.271,67).
