Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Julie Heffernan could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in June 2014 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Curated auction, the work Study For Self Portrait As Ornament changed hands for USD 4,688.00 (€ 3,424.40) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Julie Heffernan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Self Portrait As Arms And The Men in May 2012 with an auction result of USD 56,250.00 (€ 45,494.99).
