Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2012 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art, which included the work Self-Portrait As Tangled Nest by Julie Heffernan. The price achieved of USD 35,000.00 (€ 27,224.64) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. Other works by Julie Heffernan have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2012 the work Self Portrait As Arms And The Men was auctioned for USD 56,250.00 (€ 45,494.99).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2012 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Self-Portrait As Tangled Nest von Julie Heffernan zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 35.000,00 (€ 27.224,64) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Julie Heffernan konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Mai 2012 die Arbeit Self Portrait As Arms And The Men für USD 56.250,00 (€ 45.494,99) versteigert.
