Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Julião Sarmento could be acquired at Christies in Paris in October 2014 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Collection Willem Peppler auction, the work Foolery changed hands for EUR 4,750.00 - missing the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Julião Sarmento achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Emma 4 in February 2004 with an auction result of GBP 50,190.00 (€ 74,936.04).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Julião Sarmento konnte im Oktober 2014 bei Christies in Paris für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Collection Willem Peppler wechselte die Arbeit Foolery für EUR 4.750,00 den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Julião Sarmento erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Emma 4 im Februar 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 50.190,00 (€ 74.936,04).
