In December 2021 Sothebys in New York held the auction The Collection of Douglas S. Cramer, which included the work Coming and Going by Jules de Balincourt. The »bidding war« ended at USD 50,400.00 (€ 44,530.84), 44% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Jules de Balincourt have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work US World Studies II in June 2010 with an auction result of GBP 277,250.00 (€ 337,161.81).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 44 % übertroffen
Im Dezember 2021 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion The Collection of Douglas S. Cramer durch, in der auch die Arbeit Coming and Going von Jules de Balincourt zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 50.400,00 (€ 44.530,84) und damit 44% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jules de Balincourt auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit US World Studies II im Juni 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 277.250,00 (€ 337.161,81).
