Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Possible Worlds by Jules de Balincourt was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Christies in London in March this year. The price achieved of GBP 52,920.00 (€ 60,206.72) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jules de Balincourt have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work US World Studies II in June 2010 with an auction result of GBP 277,250.00 (€ 337,161.81).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Possible Worlds von Jules de Balincourt wurde im März diesen Jahres in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 52.920,00 (€ 60.206,72) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jules de Balincourt auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit US World Studies II im Juni 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 277.250,00 (€ 337.161,81).
