Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Staircase 2 by Juan Munoz was sold in the Contemporary Art auction at Sothebys in New York in March 2021. Here, the upper estimate of USD 60,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 60,480.00 (€ 51,503.02). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Juan Munoz achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Conversation Piece Iii in May 2010 with an auction result of USD 4,898,500.00 (€ 3,960,303.99).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Staircase 2 von Juan Munoz wurde im März 2021 in der Auktion Contemporary Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 60.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 60.480,00 (€ 51.503,02) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Juan Munoz erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Conversation Piece Iii im Mai 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 4.898.500,00 (€ 3.960.303,99).
