Auction result misses estimated price range
In March last year a collector was able to acquire the work Le pierrot à la guitare by Juan Gris for GBP 693,000.00 (€ 821,629.50). This price was achieved in the auction Modern & Contemporary Evening Auction at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 800,000.00 – 1,200,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Juan Gris achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La table de musicien in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 31,812,500.00 (€ 27,260,068.55).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Le pierrot à la guitare von Juan Gris für GBP 693.000,00 (€ 821.629,50) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Evening Auction bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 800.000,00 – 1.200.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Juan Gris erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La table de musicien im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 31.812.500,00 (€ 27.260.068,55).
