Auction result well in line with expectations
The work White Painting by Joseph Marioni was auctioned at Lempertz in Cologne in June last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 20,160.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Joseph Marioni - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work "Yellow Painting"., which sold at auction in June 2021 for EUR 77,400.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit White Painting von Joseph Marioni kam im Juni letzten Jahres bei Lempertz in Köln zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 20.160,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Joseph Marioni mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit "Yellow Painting". beobachtet, die im Juni 2021 für EUR 77.400,00 versteigert wurde.
