Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Terrace With Still Life by Joseph Floch was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in September 2019. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 21,250.00 (€ 19,486.47) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Joseph Floch - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Frau im roten Kleid, which sold at auction in July 2021 for EUR 50,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Terrace With Still Life von Joseph Floch kam im September 2019 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 21.250,00 (€ 19.486,47) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Joseph Floch mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Frau im roten Kleid beobachtet, die im Juli 2021 für EUR 50.000,00 versteigert wurde.
