Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of USD 2,772.00 (€ 2,360.56) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joseph Floch achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Frau im roten Kleid in July 2021 with an auction result of EUR 50,000.00.

Die Arbeit Shore Near San Francisco von Joseph Floch kam im März 2021 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 2.772,00 (€ 2.360,56) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Joseph Floch erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Frau im roten Kleid im Juli 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 50.000,00.
