Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2015 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Modern Art, which included the work Circus Colosseum by Joseph Floch. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 22,500.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Joseph Floch - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Frau im roten Kleid, which sold at auction in July 2021 for EUR 50,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2015 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Modern Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Circus Colosseum von Joseph Floch zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 22.500,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Joseph Floch mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Frau im roten Kleid beobachtet, die im Juli 2021 für EUR 50.000,00 versteigert wurde.
