In June 2014 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Modern Art, which included the work Portrait Of An Older Men by Joseph Floch. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 11,250.00 61% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Joseph Floch have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Frau im roten Kleid in July 2021 with an auction result of EUR 50,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 61 % übertroffen
Im Juni 2014 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Modern Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait Of An Older Men von Joseph Floch zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 11.250,00 und damit 61% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Joseph Floch auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Frau im roten Kleid im Juli 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 50.000,00.
