Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2020 Sothebys in New York held the auction Joseph H. Hirshhorn: Collector for A Nation - An Online Sale, which included the work The City #1 by Joseph Floch. The price achieved of USD 20,000.00 (€ 18,256.50) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Joseph Floch - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Frau im roten Kleid, which sold at auction in July 2021 for EUR 50,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2020 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Joseph H. Hirshhorn: Collector for A Nation - An Online Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit The City #1 von Joseph Floch zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 20.000,00 (€ 18.256,50) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 15.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Joseph Floch mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Frau im roten Kleid beobachtet, die im Juli 2021 für EUR 50.000,00 versteigert wurde.
