Auction result well in line with expectations
The work 20155051 (from the series Geométrica) by José Angel Rosabal was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 10,710.00 (€ 9,120.33) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by José Angel Rosabal - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (From The Series Figuras Geométricas), which sold at auction in November 2015 for USD 32,500.00 (€ 30,770.69).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit 20155051 (from the series Geométrica) von José Angel Rosabal kam im März 2021 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 10.710,00 (€ 9.120,33) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von José Angel Rosabal mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled (From The Series Figuras Geométricas) beobachtet, die im November 2015 für USD 32.500,00 (€ 30.770,69) versteigert wurde.
