Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Constructivo Con Colores Puros by José Gurvich was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in November 2019, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 27,500.00 (€ 24,956.89). Admittedly, works by José Gurvich have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Estructura Con Figuras in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 150,000.00 (€ 128,534.70).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Constructivo Con Colores Puros von José Gurvich im November 2019 bei Sothebys in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 27.500,00 (€ 24.956,89) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von José Gurvich auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Estructura Con Figuras im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 150.000,00 (€ 128.534,70).
