In November 2019 Christies in New York held the auction Latin American Art, which included this untitled work by José Gurvich. The result of USD 30,000.00 (€ 27,225.70) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. Admittedly, works by José Gurvich have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Estructura Con Figuras in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 150,000.00 (€ 128,534.70).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im November 2019 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Latin American Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von José Gurvich zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 30.000,00 (€ 27.225,70) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von José Gurvich auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Estructura Con Figuras im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 150.000,00 (€ 128.534,70).
