In May 2015 Phillips in New York held the auction Latin America, which included the work Ejercicios de lo posible by Jose Dávila. The »bidding war« ended at USD 30,000.00 (€ 27,287.61), 50% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Jose Dávila; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Buildings You Must See Before You Die sold at auction in April last year with the realized price of USD 52,920.00 (€ 50,223.02).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 50 % übertroffen
Im Mai 2015 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Latin America durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ejercicios de lo posible von Jose Dávila zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 30.000,00 (€ 27.287,61) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Jose Dávila; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Buildings You Must See Before You Die im April letzten Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 52.920,00 (€ 50.223,02).
