Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Mujeres Caminando by José Clemente Orozco was sold in the Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale auction at Sothebys in New York in November 2020. It changed hands for a price of USD 21,420.00 (€ 17,927.69) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 18,000.00 – 22,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by José Clemente Orozco achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The City in May 2010 with an auction result of USD 1,142,500.00 (€ 923,680.17).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Mujeres Caminando von José Clemente Orozco wurde im November 2020 in der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 21.420,00 (€ 17.927,69) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 18.000,00 – 22.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von José Clemente Orozco erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The City im Mai 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.142.500,00 (€ 923.680,17).
