Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work El Basurero by José Clemente Orozco was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in January last year. It achieved a price of USD 2,422.00 (€ 2,160.19), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 21%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by José Clemente Orozco achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The City in May 2010 with an auction result of USD 1,142,500.00 (€ 923,680.17).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit El Basurero von José Clemente Orozco kam im Januar letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 2.422,00 (€ 2.160,19) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 21%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von José Clemente Orozco erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The City im Mai 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.142.500,00 (€ 923.680,17).
