Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Diseño para el ballet 'Umbral' by José Clemente Orozco was sold in the Impressionist & Modern Art auction at Bonhams in New York in November this year. The price achieved of USD 3,840.00 (€ 3,520.35) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by José Clemente Orozco achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The City in May 2010 with an auction result of USD 1,142,500.00 (€ 923,680.17).

Die Arbeit Diseño para el ballet 'Umbral' von José Clemente Orozco wurde im November diesen Jahres in der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art bei Bonhams in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 3.840,00 (€ 3.520,35) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von José Clemente Orozco erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The City im Mai 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.142.500,00 (€ 923.680,17).
