Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work La Ciudad Lenta, 2003 by Jorge Macchi for USD 6,875.00 (€ 5,915.51). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art Online at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jorge Macchi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Autorretrato, which sold at auction in November 2011 for USD 27,500.00 (€ 20,441.54).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2018 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit La Ciudad Lenta, 2003 von Jorge Macchi für USD 6.875,00 (€ 5.915,51) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art Online bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jorge Macchi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Autorretrato beobachtet, die im November 2011 für USD 27.500,00 (€ 20.441,54) versteigert wurde.
