The work Nuevo mundo by Jorge Macchi was sold in the Latin American Art auction at Christies in New York in May 2015. The result of USD 15,000.00 (€ 13,643.81) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Other works by Jorge Macchi have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2011 the work Autorretrato was auctioned for USD 27,500.00 (€ 20,441.54).
